The Upanishad Vahini
Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, in Upanishad Vahini, selects 10 Upanishads from the existing 108, which are considered particularly important: ‘Isha’, ‘Kena’, ‘Katha’, ‘Prashna’, ‘Mundaka’, ‘Mandukya’, ‘Taittiriya’, ‘Aitareya’, ‘Chandogya’, and ‘Brihadaranyaka’, and provides detailed commentary on the core of each Upanishad. Bhagavan Baba has said, “What is most needed by humans? What is the most important thing that one must know as a human? It is to recognize one’s true existence, and to reach the absolute reality.’ The name ‘Upanishad’ implies exploring and practicing the inner truth. The ‘Upanishads’ not only teach the wisdom about the Atman but also teach the method to recognize the Atman.”
“I” refers to this reality, the being-awareness-bliss(satchidananda); it is only ignorance that can use it to in-dicate the body! This ignorance and this wrong identification are the causes of continuous cycles of grief and joy.So, use the word “I” with discrimination to mean only your Brahmic reality; that will win knowledge of Brahman(Atma-jnana) for you.
